Clyde Benefield

Clyde Benefield, 79, of Ooltewah died May 27, 2008 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Hamilton County, he was retired from Tennessee American Water Co after 33 years of service. He was a member of Ooltewah Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the VFW. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. Mr. Benefield attended the Ooltewah Church of Christ. Survivors are his wife, Charlotte Ann Millican Benefield; four daughters, Pamela Allen, Collegedale, Kim (Larry) McArthur, Chattanooga, Karen (Lynn) Pickel, Bakewell, TN and Candee (Dane) Parton, Apison; sisters, Inez Barbree, Chattanooga and IvaLee Carlock, Boynton, GA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday at 11 am in the chapel with Rev. Tim Arthur officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery with full military honors.
